Baki Khata ("we", "the app") helps shop owners in Bangladesh keep a digital credit ledger. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account data: your name, mobile number, and (optionally) email, used to create and secure your shop account.
• Business data you enter: customer/supplier names and phone numbers, ledger entries (dilam/pelam), cash entries, invoices, and installment plans.
• Device data: for the mobile app, a device name for the login session token. Microphone input is used only for on-device voice-to-text when you tap the mic; audio is not stored or uploaded by us.

How we use it

• To provide the ledger, reminders, invoices, and reporting features you use.
• To send SMS reminders you explicitly trigger (via a third-party SMS gateway).
• To process subscription payments (via bKash and SSLCommerz); we do not store your card or wallet credentials.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with: the SMS gateway (recipient number and message), and payment gateways (transaction details) to process the actions you request. Each shop's data is isolated and never shared with other shops.

Data security & retention

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on secured servers. Passwords are hashed. We retain your data while your account is active; you may request deletion of your account and its data at any time on the account deletion page.

Your rights

You can access, correct and export your data, and delete customers and entries, from within the app. To delete your whole account, use the account deletion page. Deleting your shop removes its associated records.
